Pearlers Pale Ale from Matso’s Broome Brewery

Matsos Broome Brewery responsible for a large profile of award winning craft beers with unique flavour profiles such as Mango and Ginger have done it again, with the much awaited release of their new Pearlers Pale Ale.

The Pearlers Pale Ale being the fifth product bottled is a tribute to Broome and its illustrious pearling industry, the beer has already been selling off the shelves through the Brewery and is set to go on sale through WA liquor outlets from the 1st of October.

“ Initially we were looking for a typical Australian style pale ale, but evolution took it one step further and created a beer with citrus over tones, a floral fragrance on the nose and a nice low level of bitterness made for sessionalbility. “ Head Brewer Marcus Muller said.

The Matso’s Marketing team saw the opportunity to partner with Willie Creek Pearls, one of Broome’s most renowned pearling companies in a point of sale promotion blended with new edge digital media and are expecting big results.

The campaign will see life size pearl divers and other point of sale directing customers to purchase the new beer and in doing so go in the draw to win a trip to Broome Western Australia inclusive of a $5,000 Willie Creek pearl.

Adding to the hype every bottle has been individually coded to enable entrants to enter it on the website and find their own “pearl experience” in every bottle.

Codes entered on competition site matsos.com.au/pearlers are used to select one grand prize winner and a collection of runner up prizes from over 144,000 stubbies produced.

The amazing 1st prize consists of return economy airfares for 4 people to Broome, on arrival the winners will check in for four nights at Moonlight Bay Suites with breakfast daily at the brewery.

They will have a VIP lunch with the head brewer and learn all about the beer and history of the brewery after lunch they will fly via helicopter to Willie Creek Pearl Farm during which time the winner will select a piece of pearl jewellery to the value of $5,000.

With a prize such as this all the team at Matso’s don’t predict a long shelf life for the first round of Pearlers Pale ale stock.
