Back in September, we were delighted to have announced that we had been named finalists in the Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards. Now, after what has been an historic and eventful few months for Willie Creek Pearls; with the acquisition of a pearling licence and other great achievements, it has been topped off with a resoundingly successful night at the Western Australian Tourism Awards 2015.
The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards recognise a company’s achievements and a commitment to excellence within the tourism industry. At Willie Creek, we are always striving for excellence and do our best to deliver a great customer experience, so it goes without saying that recognition on this level means a lot to us.
The awards ceremony was held in Perth at the weekend, the Banfield family and the Willie Creek team attended for what was to be an outstanding night of success for the company. Willie Creek Pearls are delighted and honoured to have achieved not one but two awards at the Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards 2015. We left the event with a Gold Medal Award and a Silver Medal Award.

We were very happy to be awarded the Silver Medal in the Tourist Attraction category. The Gold Medal was won by a very worthy fellow Kimberley business - Horizontal Falls, Seaplane Adventures. Vasse Virgin, have taken the Bronze.

In a category very dear to us at Willie Creek - Specialised Tourism Services, we were awarded the Gold Medal. What an accolade as this category recognises the outstanding delivery of specialised tourism services that enhance the visitor experience and integrate with other tourism products. A sensational and significant category to win as it recognises the great work that everyone does in all areas of our business. Whether it be the Willie Creek Pearl Farm tour, the Pearl luggers tour, the Broome Sightseeing Tour, our food offerings, our retail stores, our website or the online store, these were all integral to us winning this award, so it was a great team effort!
